Atleacia Gibson, Ed. S.
Instructional Technology Coordinator
I grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia, where I felt I was called to create and innovate. I graduated from Elizabeth City State University, B.S. in Psychology, where I realized I could make a difference in the world. Then I obtained a Master’s Degree from Regent University, in Organizational Leadership which further developed my entrepreneurial skills. Currently I am a student at Regent University, obtaining my Ph.D in Education Administration. I have been in the educational field for 27 years in the roles of School Social Worker, teacher, instructor of higher ed, director, principal, and currently Instructional Technology Coordinator for Arlington Public Schools. While at Taylor, I created the Techie program where I teach students about installation of software, deployment of devices, downloading and reviewing apps, and much more. I provide Professional Development, technical and instructional assistance for Taylor’s staff as needed. “Each One Teach One” is the motto she has incorporated at Taylor.
I have been married for 32 years and a mother of 3, and grandmother of 2. I enjoy hanging out with my family, cooking, running, and enjoying the outdoors. I also enjoy tinkering with robots and coding software.
