
Megan Lynch
Principal
Megan was born and raised in Woodbridge, VA. She attended college at Indiana University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education with a focus in French. She attended the University of Virginia to earn a Master's Degree in Education. Later, she earned a Ph.D. from George Mason University in Education Leadership and Policy. Prior to teaching in Arlington Public Schools, she taught for nine years in Prince William County. She began teaching in APS in 2015 and became an assistant principal at Nottingham in 2018. Her interests include multicultural and multilingual education, early childhood literacy, equity and access in education, and her family. In her spare time, she can be found hiking with her family, traveling to the midwest to visit family and friends, refinishing furniture, or volunteering with the organization People.Animals.Love with her dog, Quincy.

Caitlin Sherman
Assistant Principal
Now entering her fifth year as Assistant Principal at Taylor Elementary School, Caitlin Sherman brings a deep commitment to educational equity, inclusive practices, and student-centered leadership. Her diverse experiences, from her roots in New London, Wisconsin, to her service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines, and her years of service in Arlington Public Schools, have shaped a philosophy grounded in the belief that all students can thrive when they are supported, challenged, and valued. She is passionate about fostering a culture of high expectations, where instruction is rigorous, responsive, and reflective of the diverse identities and strengths of the student body. Above all, Caitlin believes that every child deserves a champion who believes in them, holds them to high standards, and celebrates their unique gifts.
