4th grade team (L to R): Hannah Magnolia, Gail Klein, Ashley Burt, Sima Hadley, Nichole Van Dyke, Mary Rowland
Fourth grade is an exciting year for Taylor Tigers.
Fourth graders are developing their independent learning skills, using their basic foundations in reading and math to delve deeper into all subject areas. In reading, we will continue to build these basic skills, strengthening our comprehension skill sets.
Math focuses on multiplication, division, and fractions (concepts, addition, and subtraction).
In science we cover a variety of topics, including plant and animal adaptations, ecosystems, space, weather, force and motion, and electricity.
Fourth grade social studies is “All Virginia, All the Time!” as we study our state’s geography and history.
Highlights of fourth grade include field trips to important historic and geographic landmarks, and of course, the Fourth Grade Musical. As students participate in these and other fourth grade activities, they will continue to develop important academic and social skills.
We look forward to a fun and exciting year with all of our students!
