Message from Harold Pellegreen, Principal

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Taylor and we’re looking forward to another successful school year. Soon, your child/children will be acclimating to school and becoming familiar with his/her teacher and surroundings. We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning.  It always amazes me to see how well children respond and enjoy the beginning of each school each year. We are very proud of our children and have high expectations for them again this year.As you start thinking about the upcoming school year, I encourage you to talk with your child/children about what will define a successful school year. In school, children have a unique opportunity to have a fresh start each year. This can provide the opportunity for them to improve in needed areas and reinforce areas where they have been doing well. The first day of school is one full of excitement and anticipation. Work with your child/children to maintain this excitement throughout the school year. Our teachers and support staff are eager to welcome back students, and their highest priority is student success. This success will be based on a partnership between your child and the teacher. One of the best ways to foster this success is through continued communication. As we begin the school year, please sign-up and be on the lookout for our PTA newsletter. The newsletter and the teacher weekly updates, our two of our main means of information from the school and classroom. Finally, as a parent/guardian, I encourage you to get involved in the Parent Teacher Association. Without PTA support, many opportunities for students would not exist, and the PTA cannot provide support without parents volunteering their time and expertise.Wishing you a happy and successful 2018-19 school year!
