Congratulations to our retiring Taylor staff

Cris Richardson, third grade teacher – retires after 15 years. Cris started as a long-term substitute teacher and was later hired as a full-time teacher.

Cris put her whole heart into teaching. She is well-deserved of the time to work in her garden, take care of a little home renovation, and put her feet up.

Akwasi Kusi Agyemang-Kusi “Mr. Kusi”, Taylor’s lead custodian – retires after 31 years with APS. Mr. Kusi has worked at a variety of APS locations, including Taylor (8 years), the APS Ed Center (12.5 years), Gunston Middle School (8 years), Hoffman Boston (2 years), and Arlington Traditional School (six months).

Thank you Mr. Kusi for keeping our school running smoothly every single day, for your endless hard work, your kind smiles in the hallways, and for keeping our halls safe and bright. We appreciate everything you do!

Ann Heidig, third grade and kindergarten teacher – retires after 40 years at Taylor Elementary. Ann came to Taylor fresh out of college and (lucky us) she never left.

Throughout Ann’s 40 years at Taylor she navigated teaching and a personal life including taking care of her children and parents. Those shared experiences have been appreciated by many of her colleagues.

Thank you for everything you have done for all those at Taylor over the years. You will all be missed.  Enjoy your retirement!
